Out with the old and in with the new

Vegas Baby and Extreme Numbers came to an end after three weeks of fun new learning and thinking of things that were never thought of before. But now I am learning about how to identify the Hero in a story and listening to the Serial podcast. Every three weeks we pick new BOLTS that interest us and help us catch up where we may be behind on credits. It's the best thing Mosaic had done yet. We also have Inquiry Blocks that go eight weeks long and help us dig deeper into the burning questions stored in our mind. Last but not least we still have our Legacy projects where students can leave an imprint on not just Mosaic, not just Castle View but their community and maybe the world. The Legacy project has given me time to work on my non-profit and stay organized for out upcoming event on the 30th. Next week we have to pick one thing to use as a demonstration of our learning. The hardest part, is just picking one. It's only the end of the first quarter and already I will have done four BOLTS, a Inquiry Block, be part way through on my ASL level IV independent study, and have successfully hosted the first Kristy Lane Foundation event. Not too bad for the first quarter.
